STJERNERNE 9503

March 1995

Editorial:

Born in the Sign of the Hoax

By Christian Borup

(p. 3) The discovery of the 13th Sun Sign -- Ophiuchus -- thrilled the medias, because they have been able to disclose that the astrological Signs are not identical to the astronomical constellations in a way that everybody can comprehend: There are 13 signs - not 12! Well, this is nothing new And with regard to the media, Christian accentuates how important it is that Sun Signs and astrological columns in newspapers and magazines are written by astrologers -- and not by schoolkids or the grandmothers of editors.

The 13th Sun Sign - Old news

By Christian Borup

(p. 6) A thorough explanation of the tropical Zodiac, the difference between astrology/astronomy and Signs/Constellations. From this explanation it is clearly seen that the astrologers have no reason whatsoever to include the 13th sign in their Zodiac. Besides, as the constellations are in fact three-dimensional there are usually a vast distance between the stars in each constellation. Therefore, it does not seem logical to say that these (separated) stars cooperate in any way to exert an influence on a human being -- as the astronomers would have us believe. The 13th sign has been known for centuries. All in all: There is nothing new under the Sun!

Chart Analysis: Lars Larsen

By Pia Balk-Mller

(p. 16) Chart analysis of Mr. Lars Larsen -- a successful businessman, dealing in continental quilts -- and running a travel agency.

New Year's Eve

- In the Company of Saturn

By Connie Rasmussen

(p. 30) Connie spent New Year's Eve together with Saturn -- transitting her natal Sun. This lively companion gave rise to contemplations about seriousness, time, and responsibility.

Your Neptune and You

By Christian Borup

(p. 19) Is your Neptune a Maxi- or a Mini-Neptune? Characteristics of persons influenced by a most responsive Neptune -- or quite the opposite -- described in a nebulous manner

Challenged by Destiny?

By Birthe Kirk

(p. 49) A young man was going to Herzegovina to serve the U.N. -- but: He never got that far, as he was hit by a car and ended up in hospital. The prevailing progressions and transits did challenge him.

D.A.F. in Crisis

By Claus Houlberg

(p. 58) According to Claus Houlberg, The Federation of Danish Astrologers (D.A.F) is facing some severe problems regarding the definition of its actual function.

Pluto in the Border District

By Adrian Ross Duncan

(p. 23) The earthquake in Kobe, Japan, occurred when Pluto entered Sagittarius on January 17th '95. Adrian examines the charts of two Japanese Constitutions (of 11.02.1889 and 03.05.1947, respectively, Source: The Book of World Horoscopes) -- pointing out that earthquakes are usually an omen of social and political changes in the region that has been affected.

Miscellaneous

Sun signs, planetary tendencies, Mars in the 12 signs (series), and International Congresses.
