The War in Kosovo

April 12th, the Danish astrologer Finn Wandahl predicted the end of the Kosovo bombings on Danish Radio. The war seems to be linked Mars retrograde...

Finn Wandahl gave the following full description of the prediction posted to the jyotish-maillist on April 12th, 1999:

"Hi friends,
This morning I gave a few predictions about the war-situation in Yugoslavia in the Danish Radio Broadcasting System. I said that the war started 20 days ago almost the same time as when Mars became retrograde, and I predicted that this war would be confined to the retrograde period of the same Mars. I believe that the war is connected to the retrogration of Mars which runs from 19th of March to 4th of June. I therefore suggested that the war will come to and end before the 4th of June at the latest, and maybe even some time before that, which is very likely.

I further predicted that the Mars-Saturn opposition around the 20th of April would mean a change in the war-situation like a final break-through or an escalation of the present war-effort in terms of a more direct confrontation. I emphasized that this will NOT accelerate into a full-scale nuclear war. According to me nothing like that will happen. That fact that certain astrologers have assumed the role of doom-day-prophets should only be considered a projection of their own fears and big egos. In my opinion they are only adding to the anxiety of the people and giving a bad name to astrology.

There is an old saying that when Dharma is protected it protects, and when it is destroyed it destroys. I believe hindu astrologers should always be protecting Dharma."
